Ordering

Ordering for the first time can be a bit confusing, so this tutorial is to explain the process.

You can currently order our standard frame profile using the framebuilder on justframekits.com.au. Please follow the steps below.
1. Select colour from the drop down list. Matte black is selected by default.

2. Select your unit of measurement. I work in mm, but you can use whichever unit of measurement you prefer. Many posters imported from USA are in inches, but I do suggest checking them as they are often not quite accurate.

3. Enter your artwork size. This is the MOST important step and the one where most mistakes are made.

Before entering your measurements either select a matboard colour, or select NO matboard.

If you select NO matboard, then enter the dimensions of your artwork, for example 600 x 800.

If you select a matboard colour you enter your artwork dimensions a minimum of 10mm smaller. So our 600 x 800mm artwork would be entered as 590 x 790mm. This is to allow overlap of the matboard so your artwork does not fall through the window opening, and to allow you to position the mat easily. The frame size will automatically adjust according to the border width you have selected.

Border width is a personal choice. Generally 50mm is very popular, and the minimum width we can cut is 25mm.

4. Include acrylic and backboard. Unless you have a specific need for a frame only (such as a painting on a canvas board) you will usually want acrylic and a backboard. It is selected by default. Select quantity, then add to cart.

5. Enter your next frame, or view cart to checkout. You can either click the view cart button or the cart button in the top menu.

6. Payment

If your order total is over $100 free shipping will be selected by default and if under $100 a flat rate will be selected automatically. Postage in Australia is unfortunately expensive, so we need to recover cost for smaller orders. We subsidise orders to regional areas (because we live in a regional area too!) but occasionally we may need to charge extra for remote areas, but you would be notified first.

If you want to use a credit card for payment click proceed to checkout. For Paypal Express click the Paypal button. Some customers have had trouble with Paypal Express using an Ipad. If this happens, just click proceed to checkout and you can select Paypal payment there, but will need to enter your address manually.

I hope these notes have helped. If you still have some questions please just email me at justframekits@gmail.com

Happy framing. Cheers, Ian
